Happily Ever After

We arrived in Chesapeake City, Maryland around noon on Friday, June 3rd in time for Kristin & Lorne's wedding rehearsal. We checked into our hotel, which was a beautiful bed & breakfast called the Ship Watch Inn. This is a picture of our breakfast table overlooking the water:

Next, it was time for the wedding rehearsal. The most entertaining part was watching Lorne's nephew's emotional breakdowns about his assigned "jobs" as a ring bearer. He proclaimed numerous times that he quit, which was quite a premonition of the actual wedding day when he turned around and ran out of the church while he was walking up the aisle. He was frustrated that his sister, the flower girl, wasn't doing her "job" the right way. We couldn't help but laugh :) Here is a picture of Kristin with Lorne's niece and nephew. They're so cute!

After the rehearsal, Lorne's parents hosted a dinner at a local restaurant overlooking the marina. We had a great time meeting all of Kristin & Lorne's friends and family. Lorne gifted his groomsmen buck knives, so of course they had to take a "manly" photo. Notice how my husband not only has the knife in his teeth, but he is also giving the "shocker" as well. Nice.

Morgan was also a guest at the wedding :)

Kristin had a smile on her face the entire time, and she was an absolutely stunning bride. I was honored to be a bridesmaid and share these special moments with her. Here is a picture of the beautiful bride and our family:

The newlyweds...Lorne was really excited about those bubbles.

Jared's family from North Carolina made the trip for the wedding:

Lorne is a dancing machine. In order to keep cool on the dance floor, he busted out this fabulous tuxedo shirt in exchange for his actual tuxedo. After a wonderful night of dancing and socializing with family and friends, Lorne and Kristin took off for their honeymoon in the British Virgin Islands (they are doing the same sailboat charter that Jared and I did for our honeymoon). We are lucky to have Lorne as part of the family, and we're sure he'll always keep us laughing :) Congrats!!!
